With FarmFresh NYC, eating local is easy!
FarmFresh is your guide to locally harvested fruit, vegetables, fish, and shellfish. From morel mushrooms to asparagus and bay scallops, FarmFresh helps you take the freshest ingredients New York has to offer and put them on your dinner table.
With this app, we aim to take the guesswork out of eating in season and shopping at the farmers’ market. Whether you are a seasoned culinary professional or an aspiring chef, you can know what’s harvesting, what’s available, and where you can get it without any hassle.
IN SEASON
FarmFresh tells you which local fruit, vegetables, fish, and shellfish are currently in season. Unlike other food apps, our harvesting times are automatically updated, giving you the most accurate picture of what’s available at the farmers’ market.
The app includes over 90 items for New York alone, each with a color picture and description.
FARMERS’ MARKETS
There are over 50 farmers’ markets in the five borough area. FarmFresh tells you when each one is open and finds it for you on the Google Maps application.
GROCERY LIST
We’ve also included a graphical grocery list in the app as well. Check out what’s in season, add it to your grocery list, then check it off when you pick it up at the market.
WATCHING LIST
Been waiting for asparagus all spring? The watching list helps you stay on top of it by tracking items as they come in and out of season.
Whether you use FarmFresh to shop, or just as a reference, we think you will be surprised by just how much wonderful produce and seafood New York has to offer.
